Diamond Willow by Helen Frost is a truly breathtaking book. It follows the story of a twelve year old girl living in northern Canada with her family and six sled dogs. The story is rooted in Canadian aboriginal culture. The layout of the book is wonderful and interesting. There are huge mysteries in the book that all tie together in the end, leaving the reader satisfied, but maybe still a little heartbroken from the wonderful story.
