Mr. Penguin lives in a big city with his spider friend Colin, and he likes it there very much. He has decided that, since you need money when you live in a city, he must get a job. He thought about some options, but soon chose to become an adventurer. With advertisements pinned up all around town for his new profession, Mr. Penguin soon gets his first job. He is hired by a woman named Miss Bones, the owner of the local museum, and she has asked him to help her find buried treasure. Mr. Penguin is eager to start his first job, but soon he realizes that there might be more going on than just a simple treasure hunt. With hilarious characters and scary scenes that would send anyone but the bravest penguin paddling back to the Frozen South, this book is great.

OVERALL RATING 8.2/10
This is a pretty good book. It is written engagingly, has very funny characters and events, and it has great illustrations. My favourite part was definitely the spider, who saves the day multiple times. I do, however, have a couple issues with it. My first issue is just my opinion, and I know not everyone would agree with me, but I think there is too much action and peril in the story. There is quite a long time in the book where you don't get any break from the action, and I find that tiring to read. My second issue, is that there is some fat-shaming in the way it is written. It is not as terrible as many other books are in this way, but it does rarely mention the museum owner without also mentioning how large some part of her is. It is so shocking to me how common this sort of thing still is.
